A temperature number alone does not select a paint-masking tape. Define the coating process, masking position, paint-edge requirement and removal stage first.
Separate the masking tasks
Large-area covering, curved colour separation and gap masking have different handling needs. Tape, masking film and fine-line materials serve different tasks; do not assume one general-purpose tape fits every position.
Pair temperature with time
Record actual process temperature, exposure duration, repeated bake cycles and the condition at removal. A maximum temperature alone is incomplete, and another brand’s rating does not establish the candidate tape’s capability.
Trial the real paint process
We suggest recording paint bleed, edge definition, edge lift and surface condition after removal. Include the paint system and substrate in your enquiry; for fresh coatings, confirm when masking is permitted.
